LUM Asset Building—Financial Workshops
About a dozen individuals attended the LUM Asset Building Workshop Series, a weekly program which focused on teaching financial skills and strategies. Eight participants received a certificate of completion for attending four out of five of the sessions.
The Asset Building topics included Banking Basics, Paying for College, Personal Budgeting, First Home Buying and Investment Opportunities. Each week featured a local expert including representatives from Admissions at Ivy Tech Community College, 1st Source Bank, Centier Community Bank, and Coldwell Banker Shook.
The LUM Asset Building classes were organized by LUM intern, Samantha Habbinga.
