Tax Assistance – Volunteer
Volunteers are needed from January-April for the LUM Tax Assistance Program. No experience is necessary — and training is provided.
Below are the volunteer roles currently available:
- Greeter – You greet everyone visiting the site to create a pleasant atmosphere. You confirm their appointment and provide them with the necessary paperwork to complete. Tax law certification is not required for this position. A Volunteer Standards of Conduct test is required.
- Tax Preparer – You complete and successfully certify in tax law training, including the use of electronic filing software, to provide free tax return preparation for eligible taxpayers. Training and test preparation are provided.
