LUM Tax Assistance Program Expands in 2023

The LUM Tax Assistance Program, led by Dan Guckien, kicks off next week, providing free tax preparation services for local individuals and families. Thanks to a dedicated team of IRS-certified volunteers, Tippecanoe County taxpayers receive personalized, no-cost assistance in navigating the complexities of tax filing.

This important LUM program not only supports low-income workers who may lack access to professional tax preparation or technology but also boosts the local economy by ensuring tax refunds are claimed. These refunds increase spending power, create retail jobs, and bring federal and state support to working families. By filing their taxes, participants secure critical tax credits that might otherwise go unclaimed.
