Join Us in Celebrating Connie Decker’s Retirement

LUM is honored to announce the retirement of Connie Decker, who has been a beloved part of our team since joining as a staff member in the Summer of 2016. Before officially coming on board, Connie had already volunteered with LUM for more than seven years in a variety of roles, including as an afternoon receptionist, and supporting programs such as Hunger HikeJubilee Christmasbulk mailings, and the Tax Assistance Program.

As LUM celebrates Connie’s remarkable career, please join us for a Retirement Open House to honor her years of service and the many lives she has touched.

Throughout her time at LUM, Connie has been the first warm smiling face and kind voice that clients, families, board members, volunteers, and donors encountered when they stopped by or called. Her unwavering compassion and genuine care have uplifted all who have had the privilege of meeting her.

Connie’s journey began in Lafayette, where she grew up and still resides today. After retiring from Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health—where she worked in the Food & Nutrition Services department—Connie joined LUM and continued her legacy of service. She was also a tutor and second-grade reading volunteer with the Lafayette School Corporation.
