LUM Participating in #GivingTuesday
A Global Day of Unity | Together We Give
LUM invites you to participate in #GivingTuesday — a worldwide day of giving and unity in response to the unprecedented need in our community. Not everyone is in a position to make a contribution right now, but for those of you who have asked, “What can I do?” you can be a part of this important movement by making a gift to Lafayette Urban Ministry today.
With each donation made today, LUM will be able to…
- Give FOOD to local families each Thursday & Friday at the LUM Food Pantries, the students in our youth center programs, and the guests using our shelter
- Offer financial assistance to families struggling to fill a MEDICAL prescription
- Buy DISINFECTANT supplies like disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, bleach & liquid soap
- Refresh the MULCH in the LUM Youth Center playground
- Get EQUIPMENT like new bunk beds and mattresses and outdoor lockers at the shelter for the health and safety of our guests
- Give RENT assistance or pay a UTILITY bill for a family in need
- Purchase CLEANING & PAPER SUPPLIES like toilet cleaner, glass cleaner, toilet paper, latex gloves & paper towels
This continuing crisis has placed a financial burden on our community, and Lafayette Urban Ministry has been committed to staying open for business. You can count on LUM being there to support local families and children and offering shelter to those experiencing homelessness.

Your generosity will support LUM assistance programs and homeless services, help maintain our properties, and prepare for reopening youth programs, including LUM Camp and 5th Quarter Summer Learning Program.
