LUM Counselors LOVE Their Camp Experience
LUM Camp will be the best week of your summer. Our LUM Camp volunteers consistently share how much they LOVE their camp experience. A few LUM Camp volunteer-counselors recently shared the following:
Being a LUM Camp Counselor was a highlight of my summer.
I was so excited to finally become a counselor after being a camper myself — that’s how memorable LUM Camp was for me as a kid! It only made sense to return that experience to today’s LUM Campers.
As a LUM Camp Counselor of seven years, not only have I been able to experience the joys of camp alongside children in need, but I also have found a career in social work.
LUM Camp is truly an amazing opportunity for youth to see their own worth and have the fun they deserve.
All year I look forward to being a LUM camp counselor.
God has blessed me with this opportunity to be a happy moment in the lives of these children. My heart swells when a former camper becomes a counselor — it proves the power of positive experiences.
During the LUM Summer of Service, there is no better way to volunteer than being a LUM Camp counselor! Counselors are needed from 11 a.m. Monday, July 26 to 4 p.m. Friday, July 30. Volunteer camp counselors must be at least 18 years old, enjoy working with children and be able to spend the entire week at camp.
