LUM Students Celebrate Halloween

asp pumpkinLast week, the members of Stewart Cooperative at Purdue University hosted a Halloween social for the students enrolled in the LUM After School Program.

The highlight of the afternoon was pumpkin carving. The students took their work seriously — rolling up their sleeves and digging right in — using their artistic talent and carving skills with this hands-on, educational and recreational activity. And the finished Jack-o-lanterns are tremendous.

Some of the Jack-o-lanterns were shared with individuals in our community while others were taken home by the students. Assisting the After School Program that day were also the members of the St. Thomas Aquinas MARK program & Purdue Timmy Global Health. The LUM students are now full of the spirit of the Autumn season — Thanks to Stewart Cooperative!
