Dear Friends:

Since 1986, the Lafayette Urban Ministry has hosted the Greater Lafayette Community Thanksgiving Celebration. It’s been a time for members of our community to come together to share food, warm fellowship, and fun. Held on Thanksgiving Day at Central Presbyterian Church, the Greater Lafayette Community Thanksgiving Celebration is one of our community’s most valued holiday traditions.

Community Thanksgiving is for everyone. Participants gather in warm fellowship to enjoy good food in festive surroundings. It’s a chance for us all to give thanks for our community’s many blessings. And it’s a place where all are welcome.

Last year, we served 800 Thanksgiving meals with all the trimmings. We will serve at least that many people again this year. To do so will cost LUM $8,000. I hope you will consider sharing a cash gift to help underwrite the cost of this year’s celebration

A gift of $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000 or more, will assure that no one in our community will have to go without a generous holiday meal, or someone to share it with, on Thanksgiving Day.

Every donation is helpful and greatly appreciated. I hope we can count on your help. And I hope you’ll consider joining us on Thanksgiving Day!
