A Fond Farewell to Gina Williams-Stith


Gina Williams-Stith, LUM program director, was recognized at a special reception to celebrate her 18 month tenure at LUM. Gina served as the director of the LUM Emergency Shelter and oversaw the Winter Warming Station, New Opportunity Grants and the Shelter Security Staff. As an intern Gina also assisted with Jubilee Christmas and the Tax Assistance Program.

Gina recently completed her Master of Social Work at the IU School of Social Work and will be moving to Crawfordville. The reception included balloons, cake & speeches as well as a Special Proclamation presented by Joe Micon, LUM executive director, on behalf of the LUM Board of Directors and staff.

The proclamation stated that the LUM board does “hereby commend Gina for her gifts of time, talent and treasure to the many homeless individuals served by LUM.” They also thanked her “for her faithfulness and selfless service.”
