LUM Client Becomes US Citizen

Recently, Susan Brouillette, the director of LUM Immigration Clinic director, travelled to South Bend to attend the US Naturalization Oath Ceremony in support of Maria Vance, a LUM Immigration Clinic client. At the ceremony, Maria was sworn in at the federal courthouse by Judge Jon E. DeGuilio.

In preparation for this day, Maria attended the LUM Citizenship Classes. Maria is now a volunteer with the LUM Citizenship Classes.

So far the LUM Immigration Clinic has assisted with many individuals who are now US citizens — like Maria. Currently, Susan Brouillette is working with more individuals who hope to become US citizens soon.
